Account & Data Deletion

Deleting your Stiitch account is permanent. It is not a deactivation, and it cannot be undone. The process restricts further writes to your account, removes your associated uploaded media, revokes your sessions, and deletes your account and profile.

Uninstalling the app or signing out does not delete your account — your data remains until you complete one of the two methods below.

1. Open Stiitch and go to the menu.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Account.
4. Tap Delete Account.
5. Confirm your choice.

If the deletion fails partway, your account may remain restricted until you retry or contact us for help, or while support helps you complete it.

You can also request deletion by email — no reinstall needed. Send a message to [PRIVACY EMAIL] with the subject "Delete my Stiitch account".

• Send it from your registered email address if you can.
• Include your Stiitch username and registered email address.
• If you no longer have access to that address, tell us — we will ask for an alternative, proportionate way to verify your identity.
• Never send your password or any verification codes. We will never ask for them.

We handle verified requests without undue delay and within applicable legal deadlines. If verification or a lawful extension is needed, we will explain why, along with any categories of data we must retain and the reasons.

Partial deletion: to remove specific data without deleting your whole account, email the same address with the subject "Stiitch data deletion request" and identify the data you want removed.

Deletion removes:

• your account and profile;
• your own stories, video replies, and uploaded media;
• your account-linked social data (friends, reactions, saves, settings); and
• your one-to-one message conversations and attachments — these are deleted from Stiitch for the other participant too.

Some things can remain:

• video replies that other people independently authored — those remain their content;
• minimal structural story records, with your account link and media removed, kept only to connect those replies (technical identifiers and timestamps);
• independent copies other users made (screenshots, downloads) that are outside our control;
• limited legal, security, and abuse-prevention records kept as needed or required; and
• data inside backups, provider logs, and analytics, which follow separate deletion cycles and lawful holds.

Deletion from our service providers is subject to their applicable mechanisms and cycles, and deleting your Stiitch account does not delete your Google account.
