Draft — pending operator and contact details
Prepared October 3, 2026. Values shown as highlighted placeholders — operator name, contact email, minimum age, and province or territory — are being confirmed and will be filled in before launch. This document has not been legally approved.
These are the rules for using Stiitch — what the service is, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you.
01Agreement and eligibility
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Stiitch mobile app and website, operated by [LEGAL OPERATOR NAME] ("Stiitch", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Stiitch, you accept these terms.
You must be at least [MINIMUM AGE] years old and legally able to agree to these terms. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you must have a parent or guardian's permission. You agree to provide accurate account information, to protect your credentials, and not to impersonate anyone else.
02What Stiitch is
Stiitch is a social video app for short, connected video conversations. You post a video story, and friends can stitch in their own video replies, building a thread. The app includes friends, saves, reactions, and direct messages.
When you reply to a story, your reply becomes part of that conversation and is visible according to the conversation's access rules — the audience the story's author selected, friendships, and blocks. Participants in a conversation may not know everyone who is permitted to view it, so post with that in mind.
03Your content and the licence you give us
You keep ownership of the content you post. You must have the rights to what you share, including the consent of people who appear in your videos and any rights needed for music or other media included in them.
You give Stiitch a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, compress, transcode, generate thumbnails from, transmit, and display your content — solely as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service's functionality, including through our service providers. This licence does not give us a separate right to sell your content, use it in unrelated advertising, or use it for general-purpose AI training.
The licence ends when you remove your content, except for limited copies retained for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy. Replies posted by other people remain their own content, and deleted media is not displayed further.
04Community rules
You must not use Stiitch to post, share, or do any of the following:
- unlawful material of any kind;
- threats, harassment, or hate;
- exploitation, child sexual abuse material, or grooming;
- non-consensual intimate material;
- doxxing or stalking;
- content that violates intellectual property or privacy rights;
- scams, spam, or malware;
- impersonation of another person;
- attempts to bypass blocks, security, or access controls; or
- unauthorized scraping, manipulation of the service, or account transfers.
We may investigate suspected violations, remove or restrict content, suspend accounts, and preserve evidence where the law requires. We do not pre-review everything posted. Where appropriate and lawful, we will tell you when we take action on your content or account, and you can ask for a review by emailing [PRIVACY EMAIL] with the subject "Stiitch moderation review".
05Reporting content and safety concerns
To report a story in the app: open the story's options menu, choose Report Story, pick a reason, add any helpful details, and tap Submit Report. You can also use the Block control if you want to stop seeing someone.
For messages, profiles, or other concerns that do not have an appropriate in-app report control, email [PRIVACY EMAIL] with the subject "Stiitch safety report". Include the offending username, a story link or ID if available, the date, an explanation, and appropriate screenshots. Please do not forward illegal imagery or unnecessary personal data. If someone is in imminent danger, contact your local emergency services first.
We handle reports confidentially, consistent with what investigations and legal obligations require, but we cannot promise absolute secrecy or a specific response time.
06How long threads last
Threads that no one saves or shares normally leave the timeline 7 days after the root story was created, and become eligible for backend cleanup after 30 days. Saved threads and threads shared in direct messages can persist longer. We do not guarantee any permanent backup of your content — keep your own copies of anything that matters to you.
The full retention details — including how long content saved by others and threads shared in direct messages are kept — are in our Privacy Policy.
07Deleting your account
You can delete your account permanently in the app via Menu → Settings → Account → Delete Account, or by emailing [PRIVACY EMAIL] with the subject "Delete my Stiitch account". Deletion removes your own stories, replies, media, and account-linked social data, and associated one-to-one conversations and their attachments are removed for both participants; other people's independently authored replies can remain, and limited records may be kept as described in our Privacy Policy. Full details, including what is removed and what may remain, are on the Account & Data Deletion page.
08Notifications and marketing
You control push notifications in your device settings and in the app. We send marketing communications only with the consent the law requires, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe option; you can also opt out by emailing us with the subject "Stiitch opt out". Essential security, account, and support messages may still be sent.
09Intellectual property and your licence to use the app
Stiitch, its branding, and the app itself belong to us. We give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use the app for its intended personal, non-commercial purpose. You may not copy, resell, or reverse engineer the service except where the law allows it.
Stiitch relies on external services — such as your app store, sign-in providers, and notification infrastructure — which have their own terms. Your mobile carrier's network and data charges apply to your use of the app.
10Future paid features
If Stiitch introduces paid features in the future, the price and terms will be clearly disclosed before you commit to anything. Nothing in these terms signs you up for any subscription.
11Availability, updates, and liability
The service is provided as available and may change or be updated over time. If we suspend or terminate the service or your account, we will give notice where the law requires it.
We may update these Terms and identify the new effective date. We will provide notice of material changes and seek renewed agreement where required by law. Changes do not retroactively remove rights already accrued. If you disagree, you can stop using Stiitch and request account deletion.
We disclaim warranties and limit liability only to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory warranties, consumer remedies, or liabilities that cannot be excluded under the laws that apply to you, and these terms do not include any indemnity demand or damages cap.
12Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of [PROVINCE/TERRITORY] and the applicable federal laws of Canada, subject to any mandatory protections your local law gives you. These terms do not force you into arbitration and do not waive your right to take part in a class action.
13General
If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our choice not to enforce a provision in one case is not a waiver of it. Questions about these terms: [PRIVACY EMAIL].
